Over 30 years of Piping Experience
In addition to being an enchanting storyteller, Gale Buck is also an accomplished piper. He learned to play the Great Highland Bagpipes with the prize winning North Carolina State University Pipes and Drums. Gale was founder / director of The Occoneechee Highlanders, the pipe band for Boy Scouts of the Occoneechee Council, BSA. After serving as the piper of choice for the North Carolina Department of Justice Peace Officer's Memorial services for ten years, Gale retired to more private piping. Many schools have taken advantage of Gale's programs for Cultural Arts presentations featuring piping, storytelling and true life history of the Great Highland Bagpipes.
By the way, the tartan background is the Santa Tartan, registered by the Clan Claus Society. Gale proudly wears the Robertson (ancient, hunting) tartan.

"Eric lost himself in the view and his pipes sang from his heart. The rhythm was slow and comforting. The melody was restful and uplifting." From "Vrenessbith - Awakening".
